First what I did was get three plastic bags. Then I cut each of the plastic bags to the shape I want them to be. Then I tied each of the shapes to the same plastic cups. Finally after I got everything done I dropped the plastic bags at the same height and put the time on the data table.

Abstract
For my science project I made three parachute shapes and tested how they affected the landing. I did this by getting a couple plastic bags and cutting them out to the shape I wanted them to be. The shapes I used was square, triangle, and circle. I tested these shapes by dropping each shape two times and at a certain height. Then I put the time it took and put it on a data table.

Title: Parachute experiment
Problem Scenario
The problem scenario for my project is if the weather is to wind to drop the parachuteBroad Question
Does a circle, triangle, and square shaped parachute affect the landing.Specific Question
How does the shape of the parachute affect the landing.Hypothesis
I hypothesis that the circle shaped parachute will be the best.Graph of Hypothesis
Variables
Independent Variable:Shape of parachute.
Dependent Variable:Amount of time.
Variables That Need To Be Controlled:
Vocabulary List That Needs Explanation
General Plan
My general plan is to make the shapes of the parachute then I am going to drop the parachutes five times and time each one.Potential Problems And Solutions
It could be raining on the day I drop the parachute.Drop the parachute on a clear day.
Safety Or Environmental concerns
Don't be underneath the parachute when it is fallingExperimental Design
